It's a Wrap!!
I have thought long and hard regarding what I should dedicate my last post to, since it's truly significant in my eyes. At the end of my thought process, I've decided to create a post regarding the journey as a whole.
Today I am placing the final touches on my project. I have worked hard and diligently during the course of this project, and I'm honestly pretty proud of how far I've come. At the beginning of my project, I was unbelievably lost. I had zero clue what I was doing. As time proceeded, my self confidence continued to grow, little by little, until now. I am ready to turn my project in.
My dedication towards this project has definitely paid off, given that I am very proud of my result. Although I was obligated to complete this project, I had a blast doing it. It really brought out my creativity. I am looking forward to posting my final product!! :)

Group Meet 2
Today I had my second group meet. My group was a total of four people, three of which were doing magazines. I was the only one doing a travel magazine though. Anyway, it was really nice looking at everyone's progress and comparing it to my own.
When it was my turn to speak and present my blog and progress, I received a lot of good insight from the group. For starters, they liked my blog. They felt that the colorations and images went really well with the topic of my project. Through speaking with my group, I decided I may just stick with my original cover page. In the beginning of my blogging, I created a post with three examples of a cover page, all of which i created. At the time I was expecting to make a new one from scratch and use the first one as an example, but I think I may stick with my original. My group mates really liked the quality of it. They even gave me pointers to fix the positioning if the text on it. Even though I've decided to stick with it, I'm editing it a little. The left side of the magazine cover seems pretty empty now, so I'm going to change my spacing and positioning a little more.
Although I've gained confidence regarding my cover page, I've become more worried with my table of contents. My group members all have very organized table of contents. They're really pretty and creative. I felt as if mine was great while I was creating it, but compared to theirs, I have to change quite a bit up.
Overall, My project is coming along really well!! Yay!

Double Page
Today I started with the double page for my magazine. The first obstacle was choosing a topic to stick to. After much analysis of each of my 'featured' article topics, I decided to create the one that I am most passionate about. This one is the top 10 countries in the world.
I desired to create a travel magazine because of my passion towards articles such as a 'top 10.' I have been traveling ever since I was a little over a year old. Since I've been to 60 countries, I'm well aware of those which are 'overrated' versus 'underrated.' My goal is to somewhat mold the opinions and perspectives of my target audience. In order to do this, it's a necessity to be persuasive and consistent within each country.
For the format of the 'article,' I'm planning on doing a countdown. First, the number (out of ten) which the country is rated will be displayed in large, bold numbers. The color must immediately draw the reader's attention to it and encourage them to continue reading. In addition to the number, Each country will have a different image. Each representing the country. Right under the picture, I'm planning on placing my explanation as to why that country was rated that number. Within the explanation, I will include some 'hotspots' among the country, traditional actives and food, details on the land as well as the aesthetics, possibly a brief history, and much more.
I'm expecting to be able to fit about 3 countries on a page due to all of the components surrounded around each individual country. If this is the case, then my two-page spread would most likely be able to cover 5 or 6 countries. It'll be difficult to include any more, especially since a title page must be present. I'm planning on having my title across the top third of the left page. By doing so, my target audience will be able to be aware of what they're reading. This style of formatting will also make the article easier to read as a whole.

Stress!
Today I realized how close the project deadline is! I've been working pretty diligently on the whole thing, but I became sort of nervous today. The fact that my magazine's final product is due in only a matter of weeks is very stressful! I'm really trying to get an A on this because I've been working really hard. Since I'm a perfectionist, I have a tendency to keep backtracking among my work to ensure that every single detail is perfect. With the amount of time left, I now know that I can't do that as much because I have to make sure every part of the project is complete. I really hope my entire magazine comes out as well as I'm imagining it to be!
